Sharps Military Conversion Sporting Rifle
30″ heavy oct. barrel in 45- 2 1/10 with an okay bore.
Good rifling with pitting in the grooves by the serial number.
I believe this is a civil war new model 63 converted to a Sporter.
Barrel is an Old reliable Bridgeport the numbers do not match the receiver but they have been on the gun since the start.
Double set trigger action works as it should, brown/silver colored.
Checkered straight grip, buttstock and a replacement forearm are well used but solid.
Comes with the original broken forearm.
Sighted with a modified Winchester vernier tang, correct barrel flip up and a globe front.
A very early Sharps conversion that was well used.
